datakeep.

Count it on your own machine.

The scanner reads source and Git history locally, excludes generated, vendored, and dependency code, and prints an indicative range. It makes no network requests.

Scan a codebase

npm run scan -- /path/to/codebase

Run from a checkout of the Datakeep repository. The CLI isn't published to npm yet.

Add estimate details

Pass complexity, prior visibility, and the hosted records you can supply. The scanner can't see issues, pull requests, reviews, or CI results, so it never assumes them.

npm run scan -- /path/to/codebase --complexity high --visibility private --records pullRequests, reviews, issues,ci

Import the report

Save a JSON report and import it into the estimator. It's read in your browser, only aggregate counts are used, and any range inside the file is recalculated.

npm run scan -- /path/to/codebase --output report.json
Open the estimator

No uploads, no AI calls

Reports contain aggregate counts and the directory name. They never include source code, file paths, commit messages, author identities, or remote URLs.
